Independent publisher? Apply to exhibit at the City of Literature Publishing Fair
Our popular Publishing Fair returns for Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2024!

National Centre for Writing (NCW) invites applications from East of England-based publishers, presses, zine-makers, and artist collectives to take part in a publishing fair at the City of Literature strand of Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2024.

The day-long event will be a celebration of local and regional publishing and will take place on Sunday 26 May, 10am – 4pm at Dragon Hall in Norwich, home to NCW. A limited number of stalls are available.

This year, NCW is offering two options for stallholders. A full table is available for a set fee of £15. Full stallholders will also be given the opportunity to deliver a short talk to the general public on a relevant topic of their choice. Alternatively, stallholders can request to share a table for a reduced fee of £5. We recommend established publishers and local presses opt for a full table. The shared tables are broadly intended for groups with reduced stock or primarily self-published works.

To apply for a stall, please fill in this form, which requests details on the following:

  • Which type of stall you would like
  • About the publishing house/collective: name, number of staff/members, and where the publishing house/collective are based, brief mission statement, etc.
  • What you publish: market/genre/community, number of titles per year, examples of publications, etc.
  • Links to website, social media, etc.
  • One named contact

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 25 March 2024.

Any questions about the event or application can be sent to [email protected].

The decision to offer a stall to an applicant will be made by NCW staff and will be made subject to space limitations and on the basis of ensuring a representative sample of publishing activity in the region.
