Collaboration: Place: Change Developing Leaders is a cultural leadership development programme open to cultural leaders or senior managers with 5+ years’ experience who are living and/or working in Norfolk or Suffolk. The ten-month experience is designed to complement your day-to-day work. Through a combination of short residentials and online learning, you will significantly enhance your professional understanding and take your career to the next level.

The Collaboration: Place: Change programme is managed by the National Centre for Writing on behalf of the New Anglia LEP Culture Board, and delivered in partnership with the Achates Philanthropy, Clore Leadership and the University of East Anglia.
Through practical exercises, group discussions and advice from guest speakers you will explore:
- Personal growth – how to enact change for yourself, your organisation and region
- An audience-first approach – who are your working for? What motivates you? Placing audiences at the heart of your thinking
- The latest research in cultural leadership
The ten-month programme includes two short residentials, three networking days and a series of online discussions. The fees cover all training materials, expert speakers, a course facilitator, private room residential accommodation, food and some travel. The fees are heavily subsidised by Arts Council England and the LEP Culture Board.
For organisations with 11 or more employees, the fee is £1250 per participant
For organisations with 10 or fewer employees, the fee is £750 per participant
There is no charge for freelance or sole-trader participants. We are also able to offer four bursaries of £2000 each to support freelancers to participate in the programme.
What to do next
Step one: Read more about the programme and decide if it’s a good fit for you and that you meet the eligibility criteria of living or working in Norfolk or Suffolk. Download the key information document.
Step two: Decide who will be your nominator (normally a line manager or senior colleague, for freelancers this may be a recent client or another individual who knows your work). Send them the nominator form and ask them to email it to firstname.lastname@example.org by 10am Monday 21 September.
