Jenny Offill talks to Joe Dunthorne
On Weather, catastrophising, coronavirus and what to do about it all

Thursday 19th March 2020 was intended to be a special evening with Jenny Offill and Joe Dunthorne at the Octagon in Norwich, discussing Jenny’s latest book Weather. Instead, Jenny was forced to cancel her UK book tour due to the arrival of coronavirus.

We’re very happy therefore to be joined on this week’s podcast by Jenny and Joe, who provide a digital version of the event, recorded remotely. Along the way they discuss catastrophising, doomers, coronavirus – inevitably – and seismic historical events which permanently shift the world into a new state.

This conversation is in partnership with The Book Hive. Weather is available direct from them at a special discount for pod listeners and event ticket holders!

Hosted by Steph McKenna and Simon Jones.
