School holiday activities

We run storytelling and creative activities for children and young people every school holiday.

Our workshops based at Dragon Hall offer young people the time to explore their writing skills through fun, engaging prompts and activities – whether it’s poetry, prose, scriptwriting or any other kind of writing they wish to develop! This is an opportunity to learn new techniques, meet like minded young people and come away with a brand new piece of writing.

These courses are led by trained workshop leaders, and designed to ensure all participants are engaged and involved.

If this is your first time doing a writing workshop – don’t worry! We’re a friendly, informal bunch and you can share your writing as much or as little as you like.

Our storytelling and craft activities are designed to nurture a love of reading, writing and storytelling from a young age. It’s also an opportunity to explore and respond to the history and the heritage of the building.

I liked the freedom of ideas. It was great to write about what you want to write, and there were very few restrictions.
