Join professional editor Ana Fletcher for a three-hour workshop where you will explore techniques to edit your own writing.

Editing your own work is key to making it the very best version of itself. In this session, Ana will lead you through her editing process and guide you through the important decision of what your book is setting out to do.

Together, we’ll explore the idea that good editing is about tuning into your responses as a reader, and we’ll use those as a starting point to get curious about what’s happening at the level of the text.

We’ll then spend some time looking at the most common issues that come up in prose manuscripts, and how you start to tackle those. Ana will also share her five line editing techniques that you can apply to any piece of writing.

Suitable for writers of fiction, memoir and creative non-fiction.
