Join us for an informal evening of conversation, ideas exchange and support!

Are you a writer, reader, translator or creative looking to meet new people in the city? Want to have a nose around the historic Dragon Hall? Keen to find a partner for a new project? Join us for an informal evening of conversation, ideas exchange and support!

Open to anyone who makes, reads and works with words, this monthly drop-in event is an opportunity to grab a drink from the bar, meet people, cook up plans and compare notes, to talk books, and to hear what’s happening in Norwich.

This event will also be an opportunity to meet award-winning writer and NCW Academy tutor, Ian Nettleton. Ian has been leading sold-out fiction courses at NCW for a number of years, and he will be speaking about his career as a writer and his upcoming The Fundamentals of Prose Fiction course at the social.

Meet the residents

Joining us for the December Social will be NCW resident Elhum Shakerifar. Elhum is a writer and translator, most recently of PEN Award-winning, Warwick Prize-nominated Negative of a Group Photograph by Azita Ghahreman, translated alongside poet Maura Dooley.
