You can request a new password via the ‘Forgotten your password? Reset here’ button on the bottom of this page.

A password reset link and temporary password will be sent to the email address connected to your account. Please click the password reset link in this email within 12 hours, otherwise you will need to reset your password from the login page again.

If you have any problems with the link within the reset email please re-visit ‘Forgotten your password? Reset here’ link at https://nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk/spektrix/my-account/ and enter the temporary password included in your email.

If you are still experiencing issues with your account, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us via telephone or email (details at the top of this page).

I’m experiencing problems with booking an event/course on your website. Can you help?

Of course! Please contact by email or phone and a member of staff will be happy to help.

For queries by email, please contact info@nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk and provide us with further details or a screenshot of the error you are experiencing. We can then forward this on to our box office provider for further investigation.

If we are unable to solve the problem over email, we will ask for your contact details and a suitable time to call so that a member of NCW staff can process payment over the phone.

Queries by telephone during office hours (details at the top of this page).

My course/event takes place shortly and I am experiencing problems. The main office is closed. What do I do?

Outside of office hours (09:00 – 12:00 or 14:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday) please email dutymanager@nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk and our out of hours DM will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am studying an online course with NCW but my login doesn’t seem to work. Can you help?

Please double-check that you are using the correct website to try and log in to your course. The NCW courses portal can be reached at https://courses.nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk/ and the ‘Sign in’ tab is in the top-right-hand corner. The login window on the main National Centre for Writing website will not grant you access to your course.

If you are still experiencing problems please contact a member of the team by phone or email within office hours (details at the top of this page).

Content pitches and writer submissions

I’d like to appear on The Writing Life podcast. Where can I send my pitch?

We don’t do book promotions or reviews but we love to hear from writers who can share fascinating insights into the world of writing and translation. If you would like to feature on an upcoming episode, please send us your contact details and a short introduction here.

Please note: due to the number of pitches that we receive, we may not be able to get back to you straight away. All writers will be considered but not everyone can be featured.
