I’m experiencing problems with booking an event/course on your website. Can you help?

Of course! For queries by email, please contact [email protected] and provide us with further details or a screenshot of the error you are experiencing. We can then forward this on to our box office provider for further investigation.

If we are unable to solve the problem over email, we will ask for your contact details and a suitable time to call so that a member of NCW staff can process payment over the phone.

Queries by telephone can also be taken during office hours (details at the top of this page).

My course/event takes place shortly and I am experiencing problems. The main office is closed. What do I do?

Outside of office hours, please contact the learning team [email protected] for any queries about courses, workshops or mentoring.

For events, please email [email protected] and our out of hours DM will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am studying an online course with NCW but my login doesn’t seem to work. Can you help?

Please double-check that you are using the correct website to try and log in to your course. The NCW courses portal can be reached at https://courses.nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk/ and the ‘Sign in’ tab is in the top-right-hand corner. The login window on the main National Centre for Writing website will not grant you access to your course.

If you are still experiencing problems please contact a member of the learning team by email [email protected] or telephone (+44)01603 877177.

Content pitches and writer submissions

Do you accept content pitches for The Writing Hub?

The Writing Hub features content created by writers, literary translators and creatives with whom NCW has a relationship — for example, through our talent development programmes, residencies or NCW Academy. We do not generally accept cold submissions for articles.

We do accept pitches to appear on The Writing Life podcast. See further details below.

I’d like to appear on The Writing Life podcast. Where can I send my pitch?

We don’t do book promotions or reviews but we love to hear from writers who can share fascinating insights into the world of writing and translation. If you would like to feature on an upcoming episode, please send us your contact details and a short introduction here.

Please note: due to the number of pitches that we receive, we may not be able to get back to you straight away. All writers will be considered but not everyone can be featured.

I’d like to pitch my book for an event/my skills as a creative writing tutor for consideration for NCW Academy. Who do I contact?

Please email us at [email protected] and we will pass your details to the programme team.
