Can we, as citizens, make a difference? Yes, we can! Wellbeing, the environment, integration and inclusive growth all feature in this day-long community takeover of the Council Chamber in City Hall, where City Council members regularly meet for decision-making and debate. Hear guest speakers from the front line talk about how they are working to build better societies, then come together to plan future action and collaborations.

10.30 – 11.45am: National Health Societies
Building better communities for us all to live in. Featuring provocations from Linda Allen (Kinder Listening) and Jo Hunter (64 Million Artists).

12.15 – 1.30pm: Whose Land is it Anyway?
Agriculture, land use and environmental issues. Featuring The Good Gym, REPOWERBalcombe and Norwich FarmShare.

3 – 4.15pm: Integrity/Integration – fully booked!
Prisons, homelessness, refugees and how we improve integration into society. Featuring Cafe Britannia and Norwich Leap.

4.45 – 6pm: In/Equality
Inclusive growth, community banking, and basic income. Featuring a provocation from Barb Jacobson.

6.30 – 7.30pm: Man Booker Prize-winning novelist Ben Okri on citizenship – fully booked!
Ben Okri has published many books, including The Famished Road, which won the Booker Prize, and The Age of Magic. His work has been translated into 27 languages and won numerous international prizes. Born in Nigeria, he lives in London.
