Workshop

Writing the City (workshop for 13-17 year olds)

Wednesday 11 August
National Centre for Writing, Dragon Hall
11am - 1.30pm
£5 (bursaries available)

What does home mean to you? In this session led by Olivia Walwyn, we’ll read what other people have written about Norwich, as well as other cities around the world. We’ll explore our own experiences of the city; how we think and feel about our home towns. We’ll also write about the environment around our city and we’ll look at what it means to belong.

Places are limited to 10 participants – please book in advance to secure your seat.

Please note: Parents and guardians are not expected to stay for the workshop – Dragon Hall is located a short walk from the city centre and is surrounded by shops and coffee shops. If the attendee has needs which require additional support, please book an essential companion ticket.

Covid-19 precautions

Places are limited to 10 to ensure social distancing. We ask that masks are worn in the building but they can be removed once sat in the workshop. The workshop will take place in a well ventilated room. Individual drinks and wrapped snacks will be provided. We ask that anyone able to scans in via the Track and Trace app, and we will retain contact details for those young people who do not have smart phones. Read more
