Writing poems with John Osborne (14-17 years)

What do we write poems about? Why do we write them? What makes a good first line? Join poet John Osborne for an interactive session that will equip you with everything you need to get started with writing poetry.
Designed for young people aged 14 – 17 years. Places are limited to 15 participants – please book in advance to secure your seat. Choose to pay what you can afford during checkout – £2.50, £5, or £7.50.
Please note: Parents and guardians are not expected to stay for the workshop – Dragon Hall is located a short walk from the city centre and is surrounded by shops and coffee shops. If the attendee has needs which require additional support, please book an essential companion ticket.
John Osborne is a writer and poet based in Norwich. His work has been broadcast on Radio 1, Radio 3, Radio 4 and BBC 6Music. He has had poetry published in The Guardian, The Spectator and The Big Issue and has performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and the Edinburgh fringe. His new book A Supermarket Love Story is published by Go Faster Stripe.
