About Yelena Moskovich

Yelena Moskovich is a Ukrainian-born American and French artist and writer, author of Virtuoso, long-listed for the Dylan Thomas Prize, and The Natashas. She emigrated to Wisconsin with family as Jewish refugees in 1991, then alone to Paris in 2007. She has written for Vogue, Frieze, Times Literary Supplement, Paris Review and Dyke On Magazine. She joins us upon the release of her third novel, A Door Behind a Door, an exploration of the post-Soviet diaspora, through a mesmeric blending of past and present, desire and violence.

Yelena is this year’s Noirwich-UNESCO Writer In Residence, a partnership between NCW and UEA. Yelena will be participating in UEA’s Noirwich Crime Writing Festival during September 2022.
