Women Poets’ Festival

A one-day hybrid festival celebrating women poets and announcing the winners of the 2022 Women Poets Prize.
Join us in person at National Centre for Writing or online via livestream for a day of activities and readings exploring the craft and graft of being a woman poet.
Featuring a range of interactive seminars on page craft, writing from the body, and how to develop poetry-based projects – all from the spectacular surroundings of the medieval Dragon Hall.
The day will incorporate both physical and digital ‘fallow’ spaces , curated by artist & poet Sophie Herxheimer and spoken word & digital artist Paula Varjack, where you can feed your creative spirit with play and conversation.
In the afternoon, we return to Dragon Hall for the announcement of the Women Poets’ Prize winners, presented by judges Penelope Shuttle, Nikita Gill and Abigail Palmer, with readings.
In-person tickets include tea, coffee and biscuits.
