About Tim & Mark

Tim Clare is a performance poet, author and musician based in the UK. He heads up Homework, a regular poetry night in Bethnal Green and has an MA in Creative Writing from UEA. As a stand-up poet, Tim has performed nationwide including at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has appeared on TV, Radio and has written for the Guardian, The Times, The Independent, The Big Issue and Writing magazine, amongst others. His debut novel, The Honours, was described by the Guardian as ‘Gorgeously gripping’. Website

Mark Grist is a writer, performer, educator and occasional rap battle competitor. Recent commissions have included work for The Royal Institute,  BBC Radio 1, Radio 1 Xtra, Channel 4, Film 4, Red Bull, The National Maritime Museum and Google. When he’s not writing, touring or playing board games he likes making poetry and educational videos for his YouTube channel (which you can find here). Website
