On the Same Page (cancelled)
It is with regret that we announce that Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2020 (and the City of Literature Weekend) has been cancelled
For a full statement, please visit the Norfolk & Norwich Festival website.
A unique event in which the Royal Society of Literature will present two of the most exciting writers working in the UK today, who would not normally share a stage, to discuss the role of the writer in uncertain political times. Expect lively discussion and fascinating insight into the pressures and pleasures of the writing life. Names to be revealed!
On the Same Page is a partnership with the Royal Society of Literature, celebrating 200 years since the society was founded. Elected by their writer peers, each new RSL Fellow signs the Society’s historic Roll Book, bearing signatures from 1825 to 2019. In this series, taking place at literature festivals across the UK in 2020, the RSL invites writers who signed the same page of the book to reflect on their own experiences and explore literature in Britain today.
Founded by George IV in 1820, the RSL celebrates and nurtures all that is best in British literature, past and present. They organise talks and masterclasses, awards and prizes, run a School’s Outreach Programme and campaign in the interest of literature and writers. Website
In partnership with the Royal Society of Literature as part of the RSL 200, celebrating 200 years of literature in the UK.
