Meet the World: Japan to the UK: Poetry in Collaboration

Friday 16 September
National Centre for Writing, Dragon Hall
7.30pm
Pay what you can

Bringing together poets from Scotland, England and across Japan, this unique international collaborative project celebrates new works made across styles, languages and cultures. Emphasising the possibilities of poetry and performance over and alongside translation, this event will see new works made in pairs, including by visiting poets Kyoko Yoshida and Fukuda Pero Hirohisa. Also including numerous locally based poets, this should be a remarkable celebration of experiment and international literary exchange.

Curated by Colin Herd and SJ Fowler and supported by The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation, Daiwa Foundation, Writers Kingston at Kingston University and Glasgow University.
