Meet the Editor with Ashley Stokes

In this free session, held in association with The Literary Consultancy, meet professional editor Ashley Stokes. Ashley will be talking about the role of the editor, how critical feedback can help develop your writing, and will be workshopping specific editing questions to help you get to grips with your book.
Ashley draws on his experience as a writer, editor, creative writing tutor, and publisher, and hosts this session as a TLC Regional Ambassador. He has been working with TLC for 20 years and has edited over 900 manuscripts over his time with the consultancy.
Participants are encouraged to send in their editing queries in advance of the session, and Ashley will select a small handful to look at in detail during the session.
This session is open to writers of all levels.
Ashley Stokes is a novelist and short story writer with over 21 years teaching and editorial experience. He has critiqued over a thousand books for the The Literary Consultancy and is Head of the Unthank School of Writing, where he runs workshops in Norwich and online. As publisher of Unthank Books, he’s edited 11 editions of the Unthology short fiction series; Unveiled: The First Unthank School Anthology; The End: Fifteen Endings to Fifteen Paintings and 20 other titles. He is the author of a novel, Touching the Starfish (2010) and a collection, The Syllabus of Errors (2013). Website
