A Delicate Sight: a participatory installation (cancelled)
It is with regret that we announce that Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2020 (and the City of Literature Weekend) has been cancelled
For a full statement, please visit the Norfolk & Norwich Festival website.
A creative, interactive experience not to be missed – A Delicate Sight includes a film, exhibition and guided creative activity.
This unique experiential event invites you to engage with what happens beyond the visible and place darkness at the centre of your perception. Enter the dark room installation and respond creatively to the ways in which your senses, thoughts and emotions are heightened.
A number of the UK’s leading writers – including Bernardine Evaristo, Max Porter, Raymond Antrobus and Don Paterson – were commissioned to spend time in the same installation. Emerge from the dark and immerse yourself in an exhibition of their responses, before taking time to develop and reflect on what the experience has meant to you.
‘Created so many thoughts and emotions’
Ticket price includes a special edition book, featuring the work of the participating writers.
Sam Winston will be in conversation with Max Porter about the installation on Wednesday 20 May – book tickets here.
‘Extremely immersive, created so many thoughts and emotions. Feels like a completely different world was created with its own rules.’ – Participant from the Southbank Centre
With thanks to Arts Council England
City of Literature weekend is a Norfolk & Norwich Festival and National Centre for Writing presentation, programmed by the National Centre for Writing.
