The Book Hive
The Book Hive is a multi-award winning independent in the heart of the city of Norwich.
For the past 16 years it has been a hub for literary activity in the region, providing a truly individual approach to curating and selling books.
It also has a rich publishing history, being the original home to Galley Beggar Press and more recently with its own imprint Propolis, which has published bestselling titles in fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children’s books.
The shop also runs its own literary festival – The Mannington Book Bash – each year in north Norfolk which welcomes internationally acclaimed writers to a beautiful rural location, as well as laying on free events for local schools. The Book Hive is closely linked to all the arts institutions and festivals in the city and county – including the National Centre for Writing – also being the partner bookseller for the Norwich Science Festival. Along with its sister shop in Aylsham which opened in 2022, The Book Hive represents the most exciting activities in contemporary bookselling and in the region.
