The Rialto
The Rialto is an award winning poetry publisher, founded in Norwich.
The Rialto poetry magazine was founded in 1984, just along the street from The Writers Centre’s home, Dragon Hall, in the cellar bar at Wensum Lodge. The poetry magazine has flourished (over 100 issues) and we also branched out in to publishing poetry collections and poetry pamphlets. The most recent adventure has been The Rialto Nature and Place Poetry Competition.
The magazine was founded to give new poets the chance of publication alongside the work of their established peers, and encouraging the reading and writing of poetry has been a foreground aim of the enterprise.
We consider poetry to be humankind’s most important communication.
Full details (how to subscribe, how to submit your work, how to buy back issues, books and pamphlets, how to get our online Newsletter, and occasional useful blogs on poets and poetry) will be found on our website.
New subscribers get the current issue free, and we are particularly interested to read submissions from poets living (or from) the East of England.
