For Young People

Supporting a lifelong love of writing, books and ideas

We believe that building meaningful connections between young people and creative opportunities to explore a passion for writing leads to greater confidence, better mental wellbeing, enhanced connection, and a greater opportunity to develop and thrive artistically and socially.

We run workshops in schools as well as opening our doors at Dragon Hall to writers and readers of all ages and backgrounds.

Whether you’re a parent, carer or educator, whether your children are at school or schooled at home, our programme of creative activities your children and young people are available throughout the year.

Holiday activities

Our workshops based at Dragon Hall offer young people aged 8-13 years the time to explore their writing skills through fun, engaging prompts and activities – whether it’s poetry, prose, scriptwriting or any other kind of writing they wish to develop! Learn new techniques, meet like minded young people and leave with a brand new piece of writing.
