Drop into Dragon Hall and discover 600 years of fascinating stories! Learn about the building and its different uses over time, and take part in storytelling, craft activities and games for all ages.

  • Play giant games
  • Read a story in the book nook
  • Pick up an activity bag and explore our spaces
  • Get involved with creative play and storytelling activities led by local artists and performers
  • Take a self-led tour using our activity sheets

Make a Dragon Hall-themed concertina book with Amanda Addison

Tue 31 March, 10am, 10.45am & 11.30am (each session is 30 mins)

Using words, found images, doodles, and drawings you will create a concertina book to take home with you. We will explore the hall and gardens for inspiration. Amanda will also read To Market…To Market!

 

Make an Easter or spring-themed concertina book with Amanda Addison

Mon 6 April, 10am, 10.45am & 11.30am (each session is 30 mins)

Using words, found images, doodles, and drawings you will create an Easter or spring-themed concertina book to take home with you. Amanda will also read Boundless Sky and Guess How Much I Love You.

 

Medieval Clay Creations with Lucy Wheeler

Tue 26 April, sessions between 10am–12.30pm

Step into the world of medieval trade in this hands-on clay-making session for children and families! Using inspiration from archive images and 15th-century textiles, pottery, ironware, wines and spices, you’ll design and build your own trading table filled with clay-crafted goods.

 

Made possible with the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Activities for young people and families are further supported by the Card Factory Foundation, Educational Foundation of Alderman John Norman and Paul Bassham Charitable Trust.
