CPC Emerging Leaders

The deadline for applications to the Emerging Leaders programme has been extended to 9.30am on Monday 7 June.

Collaboration: Place: Change Emerging Leaders is a cultural leadership development programme open to emerging cultural leaders or managers with up to 5 years’ experience who are living and/or working in Norfolk or Suffolk. Applications are welcome from those working in organisations, in a freelance capacity or in any combination of employment and self-employment.

Applications for the CPC Emerging Leaders programme are now open.

There is a significant lack of diversity within cultural leadership nationally and regionally. To ensure the long-term sustainability of cultural leadership we welcome applications which represent our region in terms of ethnicity, disability, gender and socio-economic background.

Please read the Key Information Pack before starting your application. It details the focus of the programme and the dates of the day sessions and intensives. It is important you seek the support of a nominator early so they have time to complete the necessary nominator form and return it by the deadline. To be eligible for the programme, you must be:

• An emerging cultural leader or manager (employed or freelance) with up to 5 experience years’ working in the arts, culture, museums, libraries, Higher Education or public sector*

  • For freelance applicants we are looking for people who initiate, plan, promote and deliver their own creative projects or develop work with partner organisations. You may have a portfolio career which includes several strands of work. You may be an Artist Educator, Artist Practitioner, Theatre Director, Creative Producer, Community Artist, Performer, Events Manager, Festival Manager or you may have a role which differs from these examples.
  • For organisational individuals we are looking for people who play a key role in development and /or promotion of a wide range of creative projects and events. You could be a programme manager, communications manager, learning and participation manager, library manager, finance manager, fundraising manager, gallery manager or who may have a role which differs from these examples.

• Living and/or working in the local authority areas of Norfolk and Suffolk
• Be committed to taking part in a significant period of directed and self-directed learning across the duration of the programme (October 2021 – March 2022) in order to strengthen and develop your individual leadership practice.
